Peanut Butter, Banana and Honey

Brian

I do web development and lead generation for a local solar power company. The CEO has great vision and a great sense of humor. I recall he once mentioned pairing solar power installations with electric cars was like peanut butter and jelly. I agree.

But let's not forget about the wildcard classic that many find to be nearly par with the iconic PB & J … the peanut butter, honey and banana. At least long as the PBH & B is toasted, open faced and the banana is cut length wise.

A delicious alternative to the electric car is the electric bicycle. Like their traditional bretheren, eBikes come in many flavors for various terrains. There are eBikes for traversing mountains, cruising flatland and commuting to work. I am fan of the latter and suggest we strongly evaluate our commuting options.

The Pedego City Commuter electric bike

My personal goal was to have my primary vehicle be fossil fuel free (mostly) by the 2016 summer solstice. We each have a responsibility to care for our planet and do our best to pass it on to future generations in better shape than we found it. What better way to do this than to feel like a kid again!

Regardless if you have a PV (solar) system, consider an electric vehicle of sorts. If this vehicle is an electric bike, I give you my word that you will have an absolute blast riding the beautiful San Diego summer. If your anything like me, you will probably have a perma-grin the entire ride and randomly laugh out loud! Trust me. I have been on it every single day since I bought it.

Go rent a eBike and actually enjoy your responsibility to care for our future!

Pedago Solana Beach can give your further inspiration and set you up with a bike. Or just Google around a bit, surprisingly you may find several eBicycle shops in your neighborhood.
